Going to be watching Robot Chicken Star Wars I & II tonight as well as Where the Wild Things Are. I'm going to pee myself.

Where the Wild Things Are. Good flick. A bit slow in sections. Target audience is probably 7-11, but there are some good laughs for everyone.

Robot Chicken Star Wars. I liked half of the first one. Some of the skits where just too goofy for even me. Second one was better thought out and executed. "Your taste buds can't repel flavor of this magnitude!"

Yeah the Golden Compass pretty much bombed. They won't follow through on that.

Went to the Chicago International Film Festival last night and saw Fish Sticks, which won the Cannes Jury Prize. It also had had Michael Fassbender in it being hot, of course. I gave it a 4 on the ballot but I would have given it a 3.5 out of 5 if that was an option. The ending was horribly cheesy and the movie took some way too predictable turns, but the evolution of some of the plot was good.

I also watched Hot Shots Part Deux. Now that's a movie I can get behind.

i sell the dead - this movie was disappointing. i thought it was going to be more than it was(real gore, be a little funny, have some action) , which is basically a cheesy horror-comedy.

doghouse - another corny horror comedy from england.

fuck you, shaun of the dead.

Good. Kinda scary, kinda sad, really charming, very stunning
plus
9- Clever, fun, and pretty action packed
People Who Do Noise- Great documentary on the noise scene in Portland. I don't think anyone here would care though.
Ma Vie En Rose- A great view into the world of gender identity development
Sleepaway Camp- How had I never seen this?

I think that the movie was a great expansion of the world the book built.

The fact they created a screenplay from it is amazing. But it lost a lot of the magic and imagination and became very gritty and dark. The wild things were absolutely astounding and only Jim Henson's studio could have done it. I think the wild thing named Caroll was a nod to Caroll Spinney.

It kept my imagination. Hater. :P

I was drug to see Paranormal Activity, which after watching the preview decided would be a Blair Witch Home Improvement movie. I must say it actually wasn't that bad. The guy in it is pretty funny and it was entertaining to watch people freak out. So of course this morning I had to crawl into Jenn's room and grab her leg under the covers while she was sleeping. Comic fucking gold.
