I have only just got round to watching the final "season" now and it was awesome and I am glad I made the effort to watch it. While I am annoyed they insist on releasing it in two parts on DVD I kind of want to go back to the very start and watch it all again, possibly whilst converting several of my friends into acolytes...

In the UK? We almost always get screwed for DVD releases. Here it was 4th "season" of razor and 13 episodes then the final "season" of 10 or whatever both at pretty much the same price as the full seasons.

They are split the same way here. On the plus side they are also releasing the full series, including the movies and Caprica at the same time as the final part of season 4 is released.
