Also reminded me of my misspent youth; racing and weekends at the drag strip outside of town. Never have I been as fast as described in your post but have blown my share of engines, various parts of drive trains, and even cheated death a few times. Everything is wicked cool till you blow the engine and the crank shaft rips through the floor of the car splitting you in half...then again that can be cool too.
