@ Vange – Banana clips were long hair clips shaped like a banana funnily enough (to follow the shape of the head) They opened up at the top. You put the closed part at the bottom of your head and took the teeth of both sides in a wide V and clipped them around your hair at the top so all the hair came out on top of the head with sides up – kinda like a mohawk.
