I love your no nonsense assessment of the whole situation. I think that in the end we should be making a stronger statement in support of any of the people that truly want democracy, but that’s all we can do. Until the supreme leader is gone there won’t be any change there and there’s no point in us getting involved beyond moral support for those seeking democracy.

There are much more subtler ways to dispatch this problem. Don’t be surprised when the Israelis have to fight their own fight.

Oh, well, Tiananmen Square is obvious, but I did not realize you would go back that far. There is enough election rigging/protesting going on in the last decade.

And, I do not have a link or know what Will has said, I was just assuming you would be all over whatever he said.

Not sure about China, but Kenya, Zimbabwe and Ukraine are comparisons that could be made.
