Picture Perfect is the game where we all take pictures that the players will have to duplicate. You can make them as hard or easy to duplicate as you want. Each sponsor has to have their own pics on their site as well as links to all the other sponsors. So the players have to go to each site in order to get the pics if they want to win. See? We even made a a super awesome explanatory PowerPoint!
If you want to be a sponsor in the game, the rules are pretty simple, and each one will (hopefully) make complete sense. The goal is to introduce people to your site, meet other people who run sites, and have some fun. So here we go:
- Entry fee is $20.00. You will send it to acadia AT superficialgallery DOT com via PayPal. If we could figure out how to do some escrow thing we would, but if you really think we want to steal your stupid $20.00, then eat me. We want enough sites in this to make first prize $500.00. So tell your website having friends.
- If you also want to donate something “you made yourself” like a painting or something, you can, in addition to the $20 entry fee. All the macramé plant hangers, lumpy ashtrays and macaroni pictures will go to the second place person, as will any money over $500.00. Third place can suck it.
- You need to rate your site according to these rules (it will matter): PG = no swearing. PG13 = swearing but no nips. R = lots of swearing and maybe some nips. If you show anything more than that, you are porn and you can’t play. But you can be friends with us! We’re not judgmental – we’re hypocrites!
- You then need to take some pics with this sign in them. http://i47.tinypic.com/dz8nsj.jpg It HAS to be that sign. Other than that, it is up to you. Remember, the goal of the game for the players is to reproduce as many pics as they can. So if you live at Mount Rushmore, you can be a douchebag and hold the sign in front of Mount Rushmore. But you should also do some that average non-Dakota-living people can actually reproduce. See some examples of a previous game here and here and here. The theme this time is SUMMER and the pics should reflect what you think is summery. Like some sand or Summer Sanders. Or a bucket of sand. Or you in a bikini. Even if you’re a weird dude. Actually, that might be funny. All weird dudes should seriously consider taking a pic in a bikini in a bucket of sand with Summer Sanders.
- How you reveal each pic is up to you, but you have to have one page on your site devoted to the contest. The content of the page has to be every pic that you have posted so far as well as the links to all the other sponsors.
- Send your pics to picperfect2010 AT gmail Dcom along with the following info:
- What it is
- The link to it on your site (the page, not just the pic, dummy)
- The link to your main contest page
That pretty much sums it up so send us the moolah and let’s get going! If this goes like we think it will, then everyone is going to have a good time and get a lot of new readers.
