I admit it, I was wrong. I was pretty convinced that Team Derh would cut Lane out and I was wrong. They decided to stay with their three guy alliance and you know what? I don’t even want to talk about it. Brittany was voted out and now the final three is Lane, Enzo and Hayden. They made promises and kept them. Hayden should now win. If he goes to the final two he definitely should win. As far as the other two are concerned, I would pick Enzo over Lane. Unless Enzo wins the final HOH, he can only play the card of “Hey, I didn’t win anything but I’m still here.”.
Nah, the three doofuses can gaze at each other’s dongs for the rest of the week and then one of them will win a half million dollars. Which sounds like a lot, but if you think about it, they had to play for three months! So if they were working a regular job at that salary then they would only be making like…two million dollars a year? Fuck them. But what do I know? I want to ram Sarah Palin and her giant ears in the BAD ram way. Monica Crowley, on the other hand, is a different kind of ramming. Don’t look at her after the jump. Well, it took a week, but the Iranian bosses finally squashed all the protestors. If you don’t know about all the trouble over the weekend and the Youtube video of the girl getting killed and Twitter and all the other shit then you probably need to stop reading this and go to a real news website. But, if you refuse, and want the deets according to me – then here goes: (deep breath)
Iran had an election between that little guy who said Israel should be annihilated and some other guy and the election results were released way too quickly and the challenger got smoked (even in his own home town) and like a million people cried bullshit and at first the guys really in charge (they have a guy actually called the Supreme Leader – like their country is a cartoon crime syndicate) first said it was legit then they said maybe it wasn’t but then they finally said it was legit and the people better stop bitching and protesting or else there would be trouble and the people kept protesting and there was trouble and tear gas and shootings (some before the announced crack downs, most after) and the media is being shut out and people are trying to get the word out on Twitter and YouTube and shit like that so now everyone is wondering what it going to happen next and some here in the States are saying we should be supporting the protestors and others are saying we need to keep quiet and a girl got shot and they put a video up on YouTube and everyone assumes that it is legit but it isn’t like she was holding a sign or anything.
OK – so now that there are some basic facts out there – what the hell do we do? Here are some observations and questions and I really want to know what you think.
Apparently, the Iranian protesters also need to protect themselves from Swine Flu.
- The challenger does not seem to be much different than the guy that’s in there now (the little guy we hate) so I don’t know how much difference it would make if he won.
- Any time there is an issue of democracy over…not democracy we should be rooting for democracy, even when it bites us in the ass like it did in Palestine. Right?
- Is anyone paying attention to the Tweets of people who don’t speak English? I would think there would be more of those than there would be of people Tweeting in English.
- Should we be respecting the fact that Iran is a country even though we hate them and keep quiet? I keep trying to think of what we would have done if like, France had come out and denounced the US when we were shooting black people with fire hoses in the South. I mean – do we see this as a big enough problem to give people guns or something?
- Does anyone remember when this happened in China and we didn’t do dick? If you think we should do something about Iran, should we not also do something about all the other countries that are not Democracies (like…China?).
- bustedstr8 in the Batcave posted this link to one guy’s opinion. The guy who put this together obviously made up his mind (it’s a good gimmick).
- Do you care?
I figure some of you must have an opinion on this complex issue. When I watched the McLaughlin Group this weekend, Eleanor Clift and Pat Buchanan agreed with what the President had done so far, but Monica Crowley (rawr) didn’t so obviously there is not a consensus.
But what do YOU think? That’s what I want to know.
