There’s this story of a lady who owned a pet snake (unfortunately, I can’t remember what kind of snake, but it was a big one), treated it like a dog or a cat and allowed it to sleep with her in bed. One day the snake stopped eating the ‘food’ she left out for it and she couldn’t figure out what was wrong so the took it to the vet.
The vet couldn’t figure it out either since there was nothing wrong with the snake’s health. The vet asked her if there was anything else that was weird about the snake’s behaviour apart from not eating. She couldn’t recall anything so she went home and continued about her life with her snake.
After another week or so of the snake still not eating, she took it back to the vet. They went through the same tests and procedures and everything came back normal. Finally, the Dr asked again, ‘Are you sure there’s nothing else weird that the snake is doing?’.
She thought long and hard, and finally it came to her, ‘Actually, there is one thing that he’s been doing lately that’s different. You see, he used to sleep at the foot of the bed like a dog would, all curled up… and lately he’s been sleeping beside me, all stretched out.’
Upon hearing this, the Dr suggested that she get rid of the snake that isntant. The snake was sizing her up and getting ready to eat her!

Do you still think snakes aren’t scary, Acadia?
That is terrible. This i the reason why I don’t want to have a pet snake. I would kill it immediately once I have seen one.
