I certainly thought this was enlightening. Beyond our sun, it’s a big universe.
Antares is the 15th brightest star in the sky. It is more than 1,000 light years away. Try to wrap your mind around this next picture. This is a Hubble telescope ultra deep field infrared view of countless entire galaxies billions of light years away.

Food for thought – In the 1950’s in England you could post a letter or a card in the morning and it would be sorted and delivered on the same day. Letters posted in the afternoon would be delivered the following day. Now we have all of this technology and we can post a letter to be delivered locally and that can take several days. I don’t really have a conclusion but this picture reminded me that on some things we were more efficient years ago than today. That’s a sad thought, don’t you think? 🙁
