Hannah Selector is a veteran to the Gallery WIHM event. She is a Podcaster / YouTuber.

What motivates you to do what you do?

A long-time love of horror mixed with a hearty scoop of need to see new, more diverse and just plain different things in the horror fandom space.

Horror is so much more than 80s slasher flicks, and that is the hill I will die on.

Who is your favorite woman who does what you do?

Mells Bells! (Hi Mells, I love you!)

If you had one wish for women in your space in 2020, what would it be?

Less terrible reply guys on Twitter (or whatever social media), and the spontaneous apparition of their favorite hot beverage on their desk.

Share a practical tip for a woman who wants to do what you do.

Podcasting has essentially never been easier. Just get doin’! Never let fear of failure stop you from starting in the first place.

Inspire someone who is not where they want to be in the industry yet.

The horror community (especially all the gals in it!) tends to be very supportive, and it is very easy to ask for and find help if you want it. Fresh voices are so. so welcome and important – we need you!

What scares you?

Failure. In every sense of the word. Also, phone calls.

What projects do you have coming up?

I just launched a new YouTube channel called Reel Horror (subscribe, y’all!), which will be chatting, learning and ranting about horror films past present and future. And, very soon I’ll be hanging out doing press stuff at the amazing Women In Horror Film Festival in Atlanta.
