(CNN) — In the end, a coffee shop in Vassalboro, Maine, that gained national attention for its topless waiters and waitresses simply proved too hot — the Grand View Topless Coffee Shop burned to the ground early Wednesday morning.
A state fire official said it was arson.

That’s insane! My girlfriend is from around that area and I’ve driven by there many many times. I never had the pleasure of having a cup of coffee there and I guess I never will. 😉

They shouldn’t have burned the place down. My guess would be a crazy jealous boyfriend rather than puritanical outrage of the locals.

Who knows why the person (people) did it but I’d tend to lean toward the outraged local wanting to get rid of the “Satan’s Trap”. It was a pretty controversial place.

I know Maine pretty well, I lived there for the first 25 years of my life, so knowing the area I wouldn’t rule out either. 🙂
