I was walking to Grand Central Station last Thursday night around eleven and there was a huge line of people camped out. At first I was baffled even though I told myself a long time ago I needed to stop letting things I see in New York baffle me. But then I realized that there must be an Apple store somewhere nearby and they were lined up to get the new iPhone. And sure enough I was right.
I own exactly one thing made by Apple. I won the old square mini iPod one Christmas at work and it still works great. I never had an iPhone. I never even wanted one, to be honest. I had a Palm Pre and now I have a Samsung Galaxy X III. I know they are all the way up to five now but what do you want from me? And anyway now I wish I could get one of the new Notes that are coming out.
I love everything Samsung makes. My phone, TV and fridge are all made by Samsung and if they made cars I would buy one in a heartbeat. I hate that the note is coming out after the iPhone but I sort of think people don’t switch back and forth. The oddsmakers at Sports Betting Dime are predicting that the iPhone 6 Plus will way outsell the Samsung Note 4. Look at this (from the article):
Which “phablet” will sell more in Q4 2014:
- iPhone 6 Plus: 1/4
- Samsung Note 4: 4/1
You know what that tells me? It tells me that I need to download an app that explains how odds work. 1/4? That doesn’t sound right….
I’m not a fanboy but I fid get the iPhone 6 – not the plus. But I preordered so i didn’t have to stand in line like those suckers and I still got mine Friday. I have been using just my work cell for years but i don’t really like putting personal shiz on there for (hopefully) obvious reasons so I decided to get a separate personal one.
I don’t understand the hysteria about Apple stuff in general but we do use a MacBook at home and I will say all Apple things hold their value well. We typicall sell our laptop and buy a new one about once a year so we always have a new one and only have to spend a little bit net each year.
I also had the original Nano for like 5 years and it worked like a charm.
Well, look who plays baseball on a REAL DIAMOND!
Yeah, but how are you going to listen to the new U2 album?!
Never Will!
