So I have been absent for a good while. I am sorry, I know how important my disorganized, often ramshackle musical critiques, stories, and mix tapes are to all of you. In order to make it up to you, I have a new mix tape. It’s a mix of some things old, some things borrowed, and well… nothing blue. We start out with some nice old school hip-hop from the East Coast backpackers A Tribe Called Quest and the kings of white, nerdy party hip-hop the Beastie Boys. Things get a little more modern throughout, sporting some Animal Collective, Crystal Castles, and Bomb The Music Industry! but most of what is here at least sounds vintage and classic such as the great Andrew Bird’s Bowl of Fire track or the mind blowing King Kahn near the end. Please love me again guys, I promise I’ll be better. I have no problem with bribing you:

The Cave Mix

P.S.
Some of this is in WMA and I am sorry for that; I didn’t realize the sources I acquired some of this from had done that to me and I was too lazy to convert it.
