Tell us about yourself:

I’m a horror fiction Writer, working on my first anthology of short stories. I’ve had a few tales produced by the No Sleep podcast, and I am spending this year trying to build a social following and some momentum so that when I self publish this winter, the book will be received well.
I’m a huge huge HUGE horror nerd, with a particular bent towards the paranormal.

Why do you dig horror?

Escapism. Particularly anything involving monsters and unexplained phenomena. I want to live in a world full of mysterious creatures. Hum drum is not my dream.

Tell us about some of your projects. Say as much as you want!

My first anthology is called ‘Four Seasons’ and is out this winter. I’m working on more stories to submit to No Sleep, and working on a couple of podcast scripts of my own. I’m also looking for an agent for my magic realism novel ‘Collection.

How has being a woman in the industry helped / hurt you?

It’s early days yet, but I’m determined to write nothing but strong female roles…there won’t be any ‘Final Girl’ in my stories because I think every girl should be the final girl. In that sense I feel being a woman has helped to shape my female protagonists for the better.

Tell a woman who wants to get into horror something you wish someone had told you.

Be brave and submit submit submit!
